Agricultural Development Project
The Agriculture Development Programme (ADP) is mandated to ensure farmers increase their household incomes basing on agricultural value chain development in maize, banana, and rice production. This is pursued through the following activities
- training in agri-business skills
- Promotion of middle-level technologies
- Provision of seed capital
- strengthening collective access to the market through agro-processing and value addition
- Promoting sustainable agriculture techniques of better crop and animal husbandry
- Promoting post-harvest management, bulking, storage, and provision of market information.
Currently, under ADP with funding from Meserior Germany, Caritas-HEWASA is implementing a project called: Improved livelihoods through agriculture development and market access in Fort Portal Diocese (2018-2021)
