Natural Resources Management
The Natural Resources Management Office focuses on the sustainable management of the environment and natural resources in Fort Portal Diocese. This is done through training in environmental protection and natural resources conservation, popularizing policies and legal frameworks on the management of natural resources and promoting climate change adaptation and mitigation measures.
- The Natural Resource Office is currently implementing two projects namely:
- Formation and development of community-based women’s groups in the districts of Kasese, Kabarole and Bundibugyo.
- Poor natural-resource dependent households achieve sustainable livelihoods through equitable sharing of costs and benefits from the use and management of natural resources.
